CareerSource Palm Beach County and Apprentice Florida Celebrate National Apprentice Day

West Palm Beach, Fla. (April 30, 2025) — In celebration of National Apprenticeship Day on April 30CareerSource Palm Beach County, in partnership with Apprentice Florida, is highlighting the value of Registered Apprenticeship programs in building a strong, skilled workforce.

These earn-while-you-learn programs combine on-the-job training with classroom instruction, helping job seekers launch meaningful careers while earning competitive wages. Registered Apprenticeships are approved by government agencies and meet nationally recognized industry standards.

“Registered Apprenticeships are not just training programs—they’re economic engines,” said Charles Duval, Assistant Vice President of Business Services at CareerSource Palm Beach County. “They help workers build rewarding careers and allow businesses to develop a pipeline of skilled talent tailored to their needs.”

Apprenticeship Highlights:

  • For Apprentices: Average starting wage is $23.86/hour93% remain employed nine months after completion.
  • For Employers: 97% recommend apprenticeships for improving retention, productivity, and workplace safety.
